The WFPhC publishes the journal "Physics Competition" usually twice a year. Starting from the last volume of 2012 the journal is published electronically only. We hope you enjoy reading it.

Information for Authors

Contributions to the journal "Physics Competitions" are very much encouraged.

The WFPhC's journal "Pysics Competitions" publishes relevant articles in three categories. First, articles reporting on a particular event or reflecting on one's experience of an event, particularly from a student's perspective. Second, in a series on different types of competitions where examples of specific initiatives are presented in detail. The third category consists of reviewed articles reporting on research of relevance to physics competitions, for example studies investigating the effect of competition participation on students, etc. Furthermore articles with detailes analysis of competition problems may be published in the reviewed section.

All articles should be prepared in MS Word format. Articles must be formatted according to the Author's Template available as .doc (464 kb) or .docx (664 kb) Word files. Note that using the .doc file is not encouraged since the formula editor is available in more recent versions of Word only. Authors should follow the author's instruction (pdf, 57 kb) as well as common standards for scientific articles. In particular articles are expected to have an abstract, an introduction, a conclusion and be properly referenced. Articles should be submitted by email to the editors. In case of questions or remarks please also contact the editors.
